13th May 2019

The much-awaited Austrian bike brand KTM Duke 125 was launched recently in Sri Lanka by David Pieris Motor Company (Pvt) Ltd (DPMC) at Battaramulla and Jaffna KTM showrooms as well as dealer points in Matara, Kattankudy and Akkaraipattu. With the introduction of KTM Duke 125, six KTM models including Duke 200, RC 200, Duke 250, Duke 390 and RC 390 are now available in Sri Lanka. This is the first performance-oriented 125cc motorcycle complete with a four stroke, liquid-cooled, DOHC, fuel injection engine in the country. The Duke 125 is powered by a 124.7cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine which produces 15PS of power and 12Nm of torque at 8000rpm. The engine works in tandem with a six-speed transmission and an ability to reach 0 to 60 in 6s. Brakes include discs on both ends with single-channel ABS by Bosch and rear wheel sensing as a standard feature. The rear tyre size of the bike is 150mm and comes with an electric start, mono REAR shock absorbers, informative TFC DIGITAL speedo meter, aluminum swing arms, and attractive split seat. KTM Duke 125 is packed with high-quality USD (upside-down) WP suspension. The WP mono shock absorber has a progressive spring, where pre-load is adjustable providing a well-balanced suspension. It has some serious style quotient, with the tank design being a show stealer. Duke 125 is available in three contemporary KTM colour variants. It comes with conventional naked street bike styling from KTM which is bound to make heads turn. The KTM Duke 125 also has extended stylised tank shrouds which are visible up to the headlights. The fuel tank and the high quality cast along with other aesthetic features makes it most certainly a very impressive naked street bike.
