Twelve teams competed for the SLT Speedup Karting Challenge 2019 on July 13th 2019 at Sri Lanka Karting Circuit (SLKC) Bandaragama. It was Sri Lanka"s first ever 8-hour endurance karting race organized by Ceylon Motor Sports Club, the local representative for FIA-CIK together with David Pieris Racing & Leisure (Pvt) Ltd. 

Maxix Xtreme Racing won the "SLT Speedup Karting Challenge 2019" completing 705 laps.  Flash Squad completed 703 laps to finish in second place. Finishing in third place with 702 laps was SLR GP Autosports and although SLR GP Motorsports completed 704 laps they were placed fourth due to a penalty.

The other teams which participated were STC Blue (699 laps), STC Black (696 laps), RHC Racing (696 laps), Stallion Riders (695 laps), BKMS Racing (689 laps), A A Racing (682 laps), Assetline (656 laps) and Team Pulsar (243 laps due to an accident).  

Shakthi Anuradha of Flash Squad was awarded "Classic Driver of the Day" with a 118.44 performance index, winning a tour to Singapore while Thiyago Pereira of Maxix Xtreme Racing won the fastest lap time of the day with  a 38.938 record, becoming the only driver to reach below 39 seconds in the event.
