We are thrilled to announce a significant milestone for David Pieris Automobiles (Private) Limited (DPA) as we embark on our transformative journey within the local automotive industry. DPA has officially entered into a partnership agreement with Hozon New Energy Automobile Co., Ltd. for the localized production and distribution of Neta electric vehicles in Sri Lanka.

This partnership signifies a pivotal moment for both companies, marking Neta’s inaugural assembly project in South Asia while affirming DPA’s capability and reputation within the LVA space.

The formal agreement was signed by Mr. Rohana Dissanayake, Group Chairman and Managing Director, David Pieris Group of Companies and WilsonSun, Executive Vice President – Overseas Business Dept., Hozon New Energy Automobile Co., Ltd, at an event held at Neta Auto Global, Thailand.

Under this new collaboration, DPA will soon introduce NETA V-II and NETA X electric SUVs to the Sri Lankan market, marking our second venture into the four-wheeler segment alongside globally renowned automakers. Previously, DPA partnered with Beijing Automotive Industry Holding Co., Ltd. to manufacture and distribute BAIC vehicles in Sri Lanka, contributing to the local value addition program and subsequently expanding our reach across the country.

This strategic alliance not only underscores our commitment to innovation and sustainability but also reinforces our position as a leading player in the Sri Lankan automotive landscape.
