The David Pieris Women's Basketball Team beat Standard Chartered in the finals of the mercantile league Basketball Tournament to be the crowned champions after scoring 65 goals to their opponent's 43 goals. 

Pramesha Fernando was also selected " The Most Valuable Player" of the match
