Life for W.H. Pushpa Kumari Priyadarshani was very tough as her parents had passed away and she has to take care of her brother who has special needs on her own. Their house had wattle walls. The wattle walls of the house were cracked and living daily in this house was dangerous. Priyadarshani works at a hardware shop and was not capable of re-constructing or refurbishing their house while looking after her brother. Since David Pieris Group’s Welfare Committee made a donation to re-construct this house, Priyadarshani and her brother can live in a safe environment. The comfort of knowing that their safety is firmly secured within the concreted walls of the house David Pieris Group supported to construct, Priyadarshani and her brother have got a new lease of life.
