The Women’s Bureau of Ampara police station organized an awareness programme on Child abuse prevention for children in AM/Nawagamgoda Saddhathissa Primary school, Ampara on World Children’s day. Majority of the children in the school are from lower income families and their parents work as labourers. Due to the fact that most of the children are underprivileged, this school was selected for the programme. Because we strongly believe that focus on the younger generations is a great investment and equipping children with necessary tools to develop is imperative, David Pieris Group stepped in to provide stationery packs to these children. Through this the children have necessary supplies to carry out their studies well and are further encouraged to pursue studies.
